Red Dot, a long-standing Miami Art Week satellite art fair, has been purchased by Redwood Media Group. The company also owns Spectrum Miami, Artexpo New York, Art San Diego and Spectrum Indian Wells.

George Billis, Red Dot’s former owner and director, sold the company for an undisclosed price.

Red Dot has been a fixture on the satellite fair circuit since 2006; last December, more than 20,000 attended the show. Spectrum Miami opened in 2010 and drew 30,000 attendees in 2015.

Under the new ownership, Red Dot fair will follow the current format offering primary and secondary sales of artwork by a mix of emerging, mid-career and established artists, according to a release. The 2016 fair will take place Nov. 30-Dec. 4.
