Nordstrom Rack is planning to open a new store at The Shops at Midtown Miami, in the property that formerly housed Loehmann’s which filed for bankruptcy and liquidated earlier this year.
The new Nordstrom Rack will open in spring 2015, with a 31,000 square-foot store. The property is owned and managed by DDR Corp.
Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, offering a large selection of on-trend apparel, accessories and shoes at a savings of 30 percent to 70 percent off regular prices. Nordstrom Rack said it carries merchandise from Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com, as well as specially purchased items from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom.
At The Shops at Midtown, Nordstrom Rack will join such other retailers as Target, Ross, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sports Authority and West Elm, as well as over 30 smaller shops and restaurants.
