Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. said Tuesday that it has agreed to sell the 1,814-passenger Celebrity Century to a Chinese travel company.

The Miami-based cruise company did not say how much it would sell the ship for, but said the sale will result in a non-cash loss of about $20 million. The buyer is Exquisite Marine, an affiliate of Ctrip.com International.

Launched in 1995, the ship will continue to sail for Celebrity Cruises until April of 2015.

A press release from Ctrip said the ship will be renovated to appeal to the Chinese market. The company’s statement said it had entered into a memorandum of understanding with Royal Caribbean to form a joint venture to manage the operations of the ship and “potentially broaden the relationship.”
