Burger King’s “Chicken Fries” are back

Are they fries are or are they chicken? Burger King said it is bringing back “Chicken Fries,” for a limited time, to participating restaurants.

Sparked by “an overwhelming number of enthusiastic tweets, petitions, dedicated Tumblr and Facebook pages and phone calls from devoted fans,” the Miami-based company said it would relaunch “the cult favorite” that was originally launched in 2005 and taken off the Burger King menu in 2012.

Chicken Fries are made with premium white meat chicken coated in a light crispy breading seasoned with savory spices and herbs, and are shaped like fries, the company said. They can be dipped in Burger King dipping sauces, including BBQ, Honey Mustard, Ranch, Zesty, Buffalo and Sweet & Sour.

An order of nine Chicken Fries costs $2.89 at participating Burger King restaurants nationwide, for a limited time only while supplies last.
