Univision Communications announced this week that the Univision Network ranked as the No. 1 network in prime time for the second consecutive year among both adults aged 18-49 and adults aged 18-34 during the July “sweeps” period. Univision stations in Los Angeles and New York ranked as the No. 1 and No. 2 most-watched stations in the country, respectively, during prime-time and total-day time periods among key demographics.
Univision also continued to attract the youngest viewers in all of network prime-time television with a median age of 39, which was 17 years younger than the top four English-language broadcast networks’ average of 56, the company said. Univision, which ranked No. 1 in the Miami market for all age groups in the prime-time and total-day categories, also had the most programs within the top 20 on all of television during the July sweep among adults 18-34 compared to ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX, the company said.
