Barton G. opens signature restaurant in California

After a decade on the dining scene in the Miami area, Barton G. Weiss opens the doors of Barton G. LA - The Restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif., Wednesday.

The 3,200 square-foot multi-sensory restaurant — his first outside South Florida — aims to marry culinary theatrics with Hollywood glamor using floor-to-ceiling fresh orchid wall displays, an exhibition-style pastry kitchen and contemporary American cuisine like Lobster Pop Tarts and Blooming Seabass.

Weiss opened the original Barton G. in South Beach in 2002. In 2009, he opened Prelude by Barton G. at the Adrienne Arsht Center in 2009, which closed earlier this year, and then in 2010 converted the former Versace Mansion in Miami into The Villa by Barton G., an elegant boutique hotel, restaurant and event space.
