The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday that Harve Mogul, president and CEO of United Way of Miami-Dade, will receive the 2015 Sand in My Shoes Award.
Considered the chamber’s highest honor, the award has been given to leaders who contribute to the community for more than 30 years.
Mogul became part of United Way in 1973; he has been president and CEO of United Way of Miami-Dade since 1991.
In an email announcing the news, United Way of Miami-Dade board chair Gene Schaefer said Mogul “joins a very impressive list of community leaders who have ‘sand in their shoes’ and have had an undeniable impact on our community.”
