Sure we’ve got the beaches, the bay and all kinds of fancy hotel pools. But one body of water that gets no love in Miami is the Miami River. Except once a year at the Miami River Commission’s annual Miami Riverday.
Celebrate the Miami River’s history with free river boat rides, live music, activities for the entire family, tours and more. Bands like Iko Iko, Luis Bofill and Lanny Smith & The Earthman Project perform for residents who want to learn more about the Miami River.
Saturday, April 2 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Lummus Park, 250 NW North River Dr., Miami; www.miamirivercommission.org.
