The megalodon existed just under two million years ago and the folks who put this traveling exhibit together have fossil specimens of the 60-foot beast – mostly jaws (eight feet in height) and teeth.
There’s a 60-foot long walk-through sculpture with highlights of the evolution, biology and misconceptions regarding pre-historic sharks.
The cost: Adults $18, seniors and students with ID $16, children $13, with children under 3 free. Miami-Dade county residents receive 15% off ticket prices.
The Miami Science Museum is located at 3280 South Miami Avenue in Miami. For more info, call 305-646-4200.
