March is the official zenith of Miami’s season, with more cultural arts events, festivals and concerts than you can ever possibly attend. Here are the biggest events this month so that you do not suffer from a serious case of FOMO.
Flamenco Festival 2016

Where: Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, 1300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami
This year’s line up features Spanish guitar virtuoso Vicente Amigo, flamenco dance sensation Farruquito, Ballet Flamenco de Andalucia, Compañía Rocío Molino and Compañía Manuel Liñán performing their show, Nómada. Rubalcaba & Fernández pay tribute to legendary Cuban big bandleader Beny Moré as well as Manolo Caracol.
Winter Party Festival
Where: Various venues throughout Miami and Miami Beach.
What started as a one-time dance party in South Beach has evolved into a six-day festival with dozens of events, parties, cocktails, pool parties and more all to benefit the National LGBTQ Task Force and local Miami nonprofit organizations that serve the LGBTQ community.
WGC Cadillac Championship
Where: Doral Golf Resort & Spa, 4400 NW 87th Ave., Doral.
The top golfers face off at the Blue Monster course at the Doral Golf Resort as part of the PGA tour with a $9,500,000 purse up for grabs.
Miami International Film Festival
Where: Various theaters throughout Miami
The annual film festival brings an international program 129 feature-length and short films from established and emerging filmmakers to various venues throughout Miami. The event features screenings, Q&A’s with filmmakers, an opening night gala and awards ceremony.
Carnaval on the Mile
Where: Miracle Mile, Coral Gables
Head to the heart of Coral Gables for a two-day celebration of art in all of its forms with works by hundreds of artists, concerts on three different stages plus wine, cocktails and fine food from local restaurants and family-friendly activities.
Where: SW Eighth Street between 11th and 27th Avenues, Miami
Party in Miami’s historic Little Havana neighborhood at this street festival that shuts down Eighth Street for several blocks, filling it with stages, international food vendors, cigars, games and entertainment of all kinds for the one million people who attend this celebration of Latino culture.
Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition
March 17-April 10
Where: Miami-Dade County Fair Grounds, 10901 SW 24 St., Miami
Chow down on buttery elephant ears, ride the Ferris wheel, test your skills at the carnival games, check out the most impressive livestock and agriculture from across the state and catch a concert at this annual event. This year’s entertainment line-up includes ice skating and roller skating shows, the Royal Hanneford Circus, percussion troupe The Procrastinators and much more.
Jazz In the Gardens
Where: Sun Life Stadium, 2269 Dan Marino Blvd, Miami Gardens
Radio personality Rickey Smiley hosts this year’s festival featuring acts like Michael McDonald, Janelle Monae, Fred Hammond, Najee, Regina Belle, the Average White Band and the Queen of Soul herself, Aretha Franklin.
Miami City Ballet – Program IV
Where: Adrienne Arsht Center, 1300 Biscayne Blvd, Miami
To celebrate the company’s landmark 30th anniversary season, Miami City Ballet will present an innovative reimagining of George Balanchine’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

Deering Estate Seafood Festival

A non-stop celebration of the harvest of the ocean at the annual Deering Seafood Festival with delicious catches from the sea, celebrity chef cooking demos, fun-filled adventures for kids, stilt walkers, a Junkanoo musical parade and on-going live entertainment.
Miami Open Tennis Tournament
March 21-April 3
Where: Crandon Park Tennis Center, 7300 Crandon Blvd, Key Biscayne
Tennis’ top dogs come together at this event, which is unofficially considered the fifth grand slam among the pro ranks. Along with more than 300,000 spectators, the tournament also attracts plenty of A-list celebrities looking for a good spot to see the action. This year features a concert by Duran Duran.
Winter Music Conference
Where: Shelborne Wyndham Grand, 1 801 Collins Ave, Miami Beach
Now in its 31st year, WMC is a week-long event that brings together the dance music industry’s movers and shakers and up-and-comers for seminars, demos, workshops, networking and, of course, plenty of parties.
