UPDATE April, 7, 3:32 p.m.: The Balans restaurants will continue to operate in the wake of founder Prady Balan’s sudden death from a heart attack last month. They will be run by Balan’s son, Jonathan, according to a statement the family sent to The Miami Herald.
“An international restaurateur and entrepreneur, Prady Balan was a deeply loved member of his family and community. His death comes as a shock to his close relatives and friends, as he was known to be in good health,” it reads.
