The Wynwood Yard has welcomed a new addition that promises to serve late night crowds every Friday and Saturday.
Last Call Sandwich Counter joins the festivities at the Wynwood Yard at 11 p.m. and stays open into the next morning indefinitely. The small-scale deli is the latest in a lineup that includes della test kitchen, Brazilian Fire, Kuenko, World Famous House of Mac, Mr. Bing and the Yard’s first full-service restaurant Charcoal Garden Bar + Grill. While the food at the Yard is inspired by tastes from around the world, Last Call will deliver American classics like a pulled pork sandwich and grilled cheese.

The Wynwood Yard opened in Nov. 2015 and was founded by Della Heiman, a plant-food enthusiast and owner of della test kitchen. With a pop-up bar as its focal point and a stage usually outfitted with a DJ, the outdoor venue draws young party-goers and families alike. It most recently attracted superstar Shakira who performed songs from her latest album to a packed audience.
The Yard bills itself an entrepreneurial hub and is modeled on ideas Heiman developed after struggling to find affordable rent for a brick and mortar restaurant. The inclusion of Last Call Sandwich Counter follows the Yard’s tradition of offering new dining options. Heiman’s della test kitchen is the only resident that’s been around since the Yard’s opening.
Heiman announced in April plans to expand her concept to Miami Beach.
