This year is breezing on by and with April already underway I thought I’d keep this week nice and simple. The big clubs (LIV, Mansion, Mynt, etc.), will all have their signature weekly events (which are fabulous), but here are some events that may not be on your radar that I think you should definitely check out.
THURSDAY, APRIL 7
Carl Kennedy at Arkadia
4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
Thursday I recommend doing it up big and heading to Arkadia for Subliminal Sessions with special guest DJ Carl Kennedy alongside Mednas. He’s bringing you the sexy house sounds with tracks like, “Blackwater”, “RocknRolla”, “Elephant & Castle”, and many more. There’s a strict door policy so make sure to come dressed to impress if you want to get in.
Doors open at 11 p.m. Pre-sale tickets available at WantTickets.com
FRIDAY, APRIL 8
Vagabond presents LOW VISIBILITY
30 NE 14th St., Miami
Friday night keep it casual (no need to dress up). Head over to the Vagabond for a performance by Low Visibility alongside DJs Ray Milian, Mike Deuce, Lolo, Rydon, UVS, Cosmo, Alex Caso, and Agent Rose. Kick it in a super chill spot with great music and no pretentiousness – what better way to spend your Friday night?
Doors open at 10 p.m. with drink specials until midnight such as $1 Stella drafts, and $5 shot specials.
Coco de Ville Turns 1
2377 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
Celebrate the first anniversary of the little hipster club nestled in the Gansevoort Miami Beach. From 11 p.m. to midnight the party will feature complimentary Jell-O Shots, spiked sno-cones, cotton candy, cupcakes, and popcorn. There will also be plenty of confetti, balloons, dancers, party hats and party horns all over the lounge. DJs Tommy Ryk and Ruen will spin, as well as DJ Sinatra. So get your cool kids look going and get there early.
For reservations (guest list and/or table service) email email@example.com.
SATURDAY, APRIL 9
DJ Miss Cady at WALL
2201 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
Continue the weekend in a more upscale location as you get sassy and party at Wall at the W South Beach for a special set by Miss Cady. This vivacious Brazilian blond will rock the decks with original sexy house tracks like “Set a Ticket to Goa”, “Melody or Harmony”, and “Macumbe Beats” that will have you dancing long into the morning.
It all starts at 11 p.m. and table reservations are strongly suggested. Email RSVP@WallMiami.com for more information.
Sultan at Gryphon
5711 Seminole Way, Fort Lauderdale
Finally, if you’re feeling withdrawals from the March madness, I suggest you take a little drive to Gryphon at the Hard Rock where special guest Sultan is going to work it out on the turntables alongside Donnie Lowe. The high-energy house set will feature some of his latest tracks like “G-Stringz”, “Fire in Your New Shoes”, and Tiesto’s “Century” remix. The party begins at 11 p.m. Tickets available at WantTickets.com
