“Te Guste” (You Liked Me) dropped last Thursday and already had 22,271,995 views by Tuesday afternoon, so not too shabby.
We expect no less from Lopez, who is duly proud. She wrote to fans on YouTube: “Thank you for the viewssssss – love you guys, we’re so glad you love it.”
JLo and and Puerto Rican reggaeton/trap star star in the sexy video, directed by Mike Ho, who has worked with Chris Brown, Dej Loaf and Kid Ink.
They dance around on the beach dressed in tropical prints (and a bikini on her, naturally). At one point, Lopez takes her 49-year-old body on top of a red Ferrari 512 to writhe around . ARod must be so proud. Only Tawny Kitaen did it better back in 1987 in Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again” classic video. We also love her little Minnie Mouse buns in her hair (what fountain of youth is in her back yard, anyway?)
The track is mostly Spanish, with a little Spanglish thrown in.
“Quiero que tú me enseñes [I want you to show me],” sings La Lopez. “What you can do with my body. Y si te me subes encima ¿Cuánto duras sin que pares? [And if you climb on top of me. How long will you last before you stop?] Hey, boy. Dale, tírala. [Give it to me]. Que tu puedes ser [You can be] Bad Bunny but I’m Jenni from the– you know my name.”
Yes, we do.
