“Bad Boys” is back in a big way.
That news came right from one of the original Bad Boys himself, Martin Lawrence.

The comedian posted a picture of him and his famous onscreen partner Will Smith from the 1995 original on his Instagram with the caption, “It’s official. Bad Boys for life.” It looks as if the guys are filming this round, No. 3, at least partially in Los Angeles. No. 1 and No. 2, which came out in 2003, were both shot in South Florida.
In the pic they are dressed up as their characters, Miami undercover detectives Marcus Burnett (Lawrence) and Mike Lowrey (Smith), not looking much older than they did 23 years ago.
“I’m telling y’all! This is crazy!” yells Smith in a video posted on his Instagram. Then the words were were waiting for: “It’s official!”
Earlier this month, Variety all but confirmed the happy news, that Sony Pictures was about to greenlight the production.
The rumored title: “Bad Boys for Life,” just like Lawrence’s caption.
We like it.
