The biggest stars in music and television came together for a special event Thursday at AmericanAirlines Arena: the always entertaining Premios Tu Mundo, in its sixth year.
The Telemundo Latin awards ceremony is the only one of its kind that is based entirely on fan votes.

Musical group CNCO and actress Aracely Arámbula were the biggest winners of the night. CNCO received three prizes including the highly coveted Artista Pop Favorito (Favorite Pop Artist) and Best Song to Start a Party for their collaboration with Yandel, “Hey DJ.”
Arámbula won in the favorite protagonist category for “La Doña.” Appearing alongside the beauty was her costar, Argentine model David Chocarro. The two took home the premio for La Pareja Perfecta, the perfect couple.

Other top moments included a presentation by José Díaz-Balart, who talked to the audience about hate and discrimination in the wake of the recent events in Charlottesville, Va., and Barcelona.
Nacho, Luis Enrique and Olga Tañón also took a serious turn, discussing the ongoing struggle for the Venezuelan people.
Among other celebs to make an appearance were the winners of JLo’s reality competition “World of Dance,” twin brother hip hop duo Les Twins.
