Per usual, the season (18) had its share of drama and controversy (the former soccer player made a comment that there should never be a gay Bachelor, as it would be confusing to kids; he later backpedaled and blamed his lack of fluency in English).

The upstate New York born, Venezuela raised Galavis eventually picked pediatric nurse Nicki Ferrell but they split after she realized he was not ready to commit and never using the “L” word with her. The two even appeared on “Couples Therapy,” but to no avail.
On The Bachelorette finale Monday night, he told host Chris Harrison that the two were married.
