The Perfect Guy star plays the title character, Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, a criminal pathologist who helps cops solve cases while driving around in his yellow convertible Pontiac GTO. See the trailer, with one scene filmed right on North Bayshore Drive, in front of Paramount Bay, the condo Lenny Kravitz helped design.
The twist: Rosewood, though seemingly buff and in shape, has a serious heart condition — and a nasty scar down his chiseled chest to prove it. In real life, the 46-year-old is doing just fine and really just wants to get better at his craft.
“I’ll still sign up for an acting class,” Chestnut recently told The New York Daily News. “You can’t stop learning. I don’t want to be the guy who had the potential but never fully realized it.”
We’ve got faith in you, Morris.
Rosewood, from executive producer Todd Harthan (Psych, Dominion), premieres at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
