Created by Craig Skilling, a sports and entertainment event producer, Influence Miami is meant to bring creative people together in one room.
“There are so many of us doing great and amazing things, but we’re not networking, connecting and creating, so that was the idea; bringing individuals together in the same network that may not even know each other,” said Skilling.
Artists, musicians, book authors and radio personalities were among the crowd of people who spent the evening at BAC.
Kim Bell, from the DJ Laz Morning Show hosted the event, welcoming all to enjoy an evening of many surprises including performances by a belly dancer, technology and gadget giveaways, food, chocolates, desserts and of course drinks!
A presentation by Sons of Mystro left the crowd in awe, as they performed various top radio hits such as Lean On, Hotline Bling and Post To Be, within others – using only string instruments.
Simply Jess, an artist who draws paintings of women, displayed her pieces, which she makes inspired by the strong and independent woman.
The event delivered what was expected; a night of fun, meeting new people and embracing the diversity of Miami’s people.
