Perhaps it’s time for a name change? Because now the place is essentially a so-called barcade, a concept which has really taken off in other cities. The original Barcade opened in 2004 in Brooklyn, as a bar meets arcade.
The owner of Arcade Odyssey, Rick Medina, is a huge arcade collector and regularly cycles in games. Think such classic video games such as Asteroids, Pac-Man and Donkey Kong (we are not totally sure how you can compete successfully with a major buzz, just sayin’).
According to AO’s social posts, they are carrying local beer from Wynwood Brewing, Lincoln’s Beard and MIA Brewing, as well as sake. There’s also Asian inspired food (think noodle bowls) and dessert (think ice cream).
A full drinks menu is here. There is no cover charge; use token machines for individual games.
