Florida has better taste in Halloween candy than most other states, says survey

Though we are not supposed to judge a book by its cover, we are completely allowed to judge people based on their preferences in Halloween candy.

A recent survey done by Influenster of more than 40,000 people reveals which candy each state covets when it comes time to trick-or-treat.

In almost all polls, Florida comes out on the lame end of the statistics. But in this map, we clearly see that Floridians prefer Nestle Crunch bars over all other Halloween offerings, which is obviously a sign of a very refined palate. candy-map.jpg

Direct your attention to the state of California and you will realize that they somehow came together to put Lifesavers in the top spot, which we all know are candies that your grandmother keeps in the bottom of her purse.

The fancy folks in Arizona claim to prefer Toblerone, which is a lie because everybody knows that the only place you can buy Toblerone is at the airport and the check out line at the grocery store. Nobody passes that stuff out for Halloween. Nice try, AZ.

The winner of the popular vote was the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, which Influenster reports was one of only three candies (along with the Kit Kat and Butterfinger) to be voted top treats by every single state.

The candy that clinched the top spot in the most states (four total) was candy corn, which most people either love or hate. West Virigina voted for Oreo cookies, which is not even candy.

As for Florida, we love Nestle Crunch, which is scrunchous when it crunches.

We have not been brainwashed by ’80s marketing campaigns at all…
