“How are you doing? You got to, like, make your back straight” were the words that came from the microphone of a tall, Danish blonde.

Nina Agdal, the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model that graced the cover of the 2014 swimsuit issue along with Chrissy Teigen and Lily Aldridge, may be used to hearing phrases like that in photo shoots.

But, Agdal was the one giving the orders during a 60-minute full body class at Barry’s Bootcamp in Miami Beach Thursday. All the proceeds for the $60 class, which totaled more than $3,000 including the raffle of five Keurig 2.0 machines, benefitted the Miami Children’s Health Foundation.

We caught up with the Denmark native, who dished on her New Year’s resolutions, how she stays in shape and even golf.

Nina, first off, what are your New Year’s resolutions?

“For me, it’s definitely to see my family. I only saw my mom last year in February; I didn’t go home for Christmas so I need to make sure to spend time with them, number one. I think it’s just about planning my time better.”

Speaking of planning, what can Miamians do to stay in shape?

“Miami is sort of the city to be fit in because everyone is wearing little clothes or swimsuits, so I feel like it’s an inspiration every time you see people. For me, it’s just about working out at least three to four times a week. It’s all about, like, moderation, do everything in moderation and combine it with exercise. There’s no easy way.”

Where do you like to visit in Miami?

“I love Pubbelly Sushi, I love going there for dinner. I love Soho House; I think it’s a great place to go with a bunch of friends and have a drink. I really like Jimmy’z Kitchen, it’s one of my go to spots, there are so many little spots in Miami that I just appreciate.”

According to your Instagram feed, you like to golf. What’s that about?

“I started like a year ago but I definitely want to get better at it. I’m going to have a lesson on Sunday; I’m going to start taking lessons. I got my own clubs; I just went to Hawaii to play. It’s definitely one of my 2015 resolutions.”

What projects do you have in the works for 2015?

“I have the “Entourage” movie coming out this summer. I’m trying to get more into television stuff to have more with my personality instead of just photo shoots.”
