Florida’s Aaron Carter dropped quite the bombshell over the weekend.
Seemingly out of nowhere, the younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter told his fans he needed to get something off his chest.
On Twitter the former Marathon resident’s note (partially) read: “There were years that went by that I thought about it, but it wasn’t until I was 17-years old, after a few relationships with girls, I had an experience with a male that I had an attraction to who I also worked with an grew up with.”
He ended the post by quoting Boy George: “I’ve never felt as though I didn’t belong. I just acted as though I did.”
“If my own blood [Nick[ truly cared about my well-being, why wouldn’t he call me directly and have a conversation instead of making this about him through a very public forum,” Aaron said in a statement. “That’s not cool at all to use me for his PR and kick me while I am down. I love my family despite it through thick and thin.”
Nick has had his own issues, for sure.
In January 2016 he was arrested at Key West bar the Hog’s Breath Saloon charged with misdemeanor battery.
He was repentant, telling Access Hollywood: “We are all human, we act that way sometimes.”
