Reggaeton king J Balvin celebrates magazine cover in style in Miami

It’s good to be J. Balvin.

The reggaeton artist was feted Wednedsday night for his Haute Living cover model at the Miami Beach EDITION‘s Matador Room.

The 32-year-old “Mi Gente” singer pulled up to the hotel in a stylin’ white Maybach, posing for photo ops with fans outside and showing off a fancy TAG Heuer watch (he’s a new brand ambassador).

Guests including newly single social media personality Gianluca Vacchi were enjoyed specialty cocktails made with Buchanan’s Whisky, including the J Balvin-inspired “La Familia,” crafted with Buchanan’s DeLuxe, aguardiente antioqueño, guava juice, raspberry syrup, lemon juice and sparkling wine.

Inside the party, magazines with J’s handsome mug were scattered about the space.

In the article, the artist born José Álvaro Osorio Balvin in Medellín, Colombia, talked about his path to success and how his interest in music started early, growing up listening to a mix of rap, champeta and bachata.

Based in his home country, Balvin still hearts Miami, where he performs often.

“Great vibes, sun, party, good life,” he said when asked to describe the Magic City.

The Grammy winner’s secret to happiness? To appreciate what you have in life and humble.

“It’s important to enjoy every moment. Not every day can you be at the sea or at the beach in Miami. But to be grateful in the present moment is what makes every day perfect.”
