▪ Heartlake City, an area based on Lego’s “Friends” line of toys, will open June 26 at Legoland Florida. The new area, based on friends Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia and Stephanie, will have a horse-themed roller coaster called Mia’s Riding Adventure, the interactive Friends to the Rescue show, and new shops in Heartlake Mall.
▪ Harambe Market, a quick-service food marketplace, has opened in the Africa section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The market has Kitamu Grill (skewered chicken and kebab flatbread sandwich), Famous Sausages (corn dogs made with South African sausage), Chef Mwanga’s (spice-rubbed Karubi Rib paired with green papaya-carrot slaw) and Wanjohi Refreshments (craft beers, wines and non-alcoholic drinks).
The area is also outfitted with 220 seats, with views of Rafiki’s Planet Watch and Conservation Station, the Wildlife Express Train and the Harambe platform, which features live entertainment.
▪ SeaWorld Orlando kicks off its Summer Nights programming on June 20, featuring a summer concert series on Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 8 and “Shamu’s Celebration: Light Up the Night” through Aug. 9. At Aquatica, SeaWorld’s water park, Island Nights begin July 3 with Friday and Saturday night beach parties.

▪ World-class performers plan to put on a show at the Summer Circus Spectacular at The Ringling, the official state art museum for Florida. The show, which will run June 16 through Aug. 1 at the Historic Asolo Theater in Sarasota, will feature Kirk Marsh, a comedian who juggles, does magic and doesn’t speak; Sebastian St. Jules, a 13-year-old juggler; acrobats, jugglers and circus performers.
