Regent Seven Seas Cruises on Tuesday unveiled renderings of the ship it has under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Genoa, Italy — the 56,000-ton, 750-passenger Seven Seas Explorer, due to debut in summer 2016.

Regent says the luxury ship will have the highest space ratios and one of the highest staff-to-guest ratios in the cruise industry.

The Explorer will be an all-suite, all-balcony ship with three restaurants. It will spend its first season cruising the Mediterranean.

The line has three other ships — 490-passenger Navigator, launched in 1999; 700-passenger Mariner, launched in 2001; and 700-passenger Voyager, launched in 2003.
