Sculptures of ordinary people dancing, hanging out the laundry and sitting around a table have sprung up in the Baroque garden of the Lichtenwalde castle near Chemnitz and elsewhere in eastern Germany. The concrete statues, an installation by German artist Christel Lechner, have been set up as public art in real world settings at various outdoor locations. The exhibition, Alltagsmenschen — Ordinary People, runs through Nov. 1.
