The only thing blocking a full view of the Chinese Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a construction wall.
The sorcerer’s hat, which served as the main centerpiece at the Walt Disney World theme park since 2001 has been removed. Disney began dismantling the 122-foot-tall hat Jan. 7. The company announced its removal in October.
Now, seven weeks after deconstruction began, the only visible remains of the hat is part of one of the gold and silver rings poking up slightly above the walls.
Guests can now get a fairly unobstructed view of the park’s Chinese Theater, the venue of the Great Movie Ride. Disney has not announced plans about what — if anything — will replace the hat and hasn’t releAsed a timeline of when the wall will be removed.
