Because a hose can’t handle the heat, a company is getting its seafood cooking kit out of the kitchen.
Academy Sports + Outdoors recalled all 21,000 of its Outdoor Gourmet 100-Qt. Crawfish kits, the type of cookware used at backyard cookouts and football tailgates across the south. The problem prompting this move: Under the heat of cooking, the kit’s hose can melt or catch on fire. The company knows this after receiving 14 reports of this happening.
Owners of the $130 cooking apparatus should contact Academy Sports + Outdoors at 888-922-2336 from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern time daily or via e-mail at email@example.com to arrange a repair.
