Halloween Horror Nights plans ‘Sinners' haunted house for 2026
“Sinners,” the four-time Oscar-winning horror film, will be represented in a haunted house at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Orlando confirmed Thursday.
The 2025 movie was written, directed and produced by Ryan Coogler. “Sinners” takes place in the 1930s Mississippi Delta, where twin brothers Smoke and Stack (played by Michael B. Jordan, who won an Academy Award for the roles) return to their hometown to open a juke joint. Vampires crash the opening night.
“Sinners” made $370 million at the box office. It was nominated for 16 Oscars, and Coogler won the award for Best Original Screenplay.
"The moment ‘Sinners’ premiered, we knew it was an undeniable fit for Halloween Horror Nights, and it's an honor to bring this story to life," Mike Aiello, senior director of entertainment creative development at Universal Orlando Resort, said in a news release. "It's rare for a film to fully satisfy hardcore horror fans while also inviting new audiences into the genre-and that's exactly what ‘Sinners’ does. Its world, characters and intensity will translate into a relentless haunted house.”
The “Sinners” maze will also appear at Universal Studios Hollywood in California.
Visitors will see characters lifted straight from the film, including Sammie, Mary, Annie, Pearline and Cornbread, Universal says.

“Partnering with Halloween Horror Nights gives fans the chance to step even deeper into the world of the film - to feel the music, the atmosphere and the tension all around them. Watching it come to life on this scale has been really special for all of us,” Coogler said in a joint statement with fellow producers Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian.
It’s the second house identified for 2026 HHN at Universal Studios Florida. The first, revealed in March, is called Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control, featuring famed Horror Nights characters Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow. Orlando’s Horror Nights runs on select nights between Aug. 28 and Nov. 1. Single-night tickets are now on sale, but multinight passes are not yet available.
