Hollywood Police are investigating a near drowning of a one-and-a-half year old boy that took place at 10:03 a.m. on Wednesday at 6660 Mead Street in Hollywood.
According to Hollywood Fire Rescue Chief Chris Del Campo, fire rescue arrived on the scene and found the child unconscious without a pulse. CPR was performed in the ambulance and the child arrived to the hospital with a pulse. The boy remains at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in serious condition.
Officer Meredith Elrich, Public Information Officer for Hollywood Police Department, said child was under the care of a family member and wandered off to the pool in the backyard. Elrich also said the family is cooperating with the police investigation.
