The Ritz’s Makeover

After months of renovation, The Ritz-Carlton Spa in Key Biscayne has a new $2 million smile. Its makeover started over the summer and opened November 11, showing off new treatment and relaxation rooms, fitness studio and wet areas. The space marries tropical ambiance and modern elegance to create a quintessentially Florida space. The menu, too, has been revamped with new massages, neuromuscular therapy and unique body and skin treatments—masks, peels, fruit wraps and more. New options include the Pino Stone and Birchwood Massage, a 50-minute warm massage using basalt stones and birchwood sticks to loosen muscles and increase metabolism. The Carita Lagoon Hydration skin therapy, also 50 minutes, uses minerals from Polynesian lagoon water to remove impurities and dead cells from skin.
