You probably got the text message Amber Alert on Monday, that a child may have been abducted in Miami-Dade.
Turns out, it was all a big misunderstanding. A little girl had crawled through to the trunk from the back seat to retrieve a water bottle. When her dad stepped out and opened the trunk to get it for her, another driver saw the girl in the trunk and thought the worst. (Read the whole story at MiamiHerald.com).
Better safe than sorry! But when you think about all the compromising positions our kids put us in - meltdowns that require removal, kicking and screaming from a store among them - it's a wonder this doesn't happen more often.
