All most of us want is time to ourselves. Really. Just one day to take a real break. No cooking. No cleaning. No picking up or refereeing squabbles. If you can't manage that, at least don't give me a vacuum cleaner.
A marketing firm surveyed more than 2,000 U.S. moms and found the vacuum to be among the worst gifts ever received - along with kitchen appliances, jumper cables and a weed eater. No thank you. Other makings of an awful Mother's Day: "Having to cook or clean up after a Mother’s Day meal for their mothers-in-law or having their kids fight all day."
