Police are investigating allegations that a Coral Gables teenager maliciously showed off explicit videos of him having sex with his underage ex-girlfriend.
Miami-Dade and Pinecrest detectives recently raided the teen’s home, seizing computers and other electronics, according to a search warrant filed in Miami-Dade Circuit Court.
The 18-year-old has not been charged, as detectives await a forensic analysis of his computers and electronics.
According to the search warrant, he is being investigated for aggravated stalking of a minor and numerous felonies involving child pornography. The victim in the case is a 16-year-old girl whom he dated for several months.

His family’s lawyer, Myles H. Malman, said: “It’s just an investigation at this point. We’re hoping to resolve the issue, and are cooperating with the investigation.”
The girl told detectives that she consented to most of the five to seven videos, shot with the boy’s iPhone or Mac computer. Her mother notified police after discovering one video on the boy’s iPhone, which had been left in her family’s car.
Saying she was “fearful,” the girl told police that he had “shown them to her friends as a way of harassing her and her family,” according to the warrant.
He is also accused of showing the videos to at least four other boys, according to the search warrant. According to online profiles, the teen belonged to the Gulliver class of 2012; the school does not comment on current or past students.
The allegations underscore the ease in which illicit media can be shared in the digital age, and the potential for humiliation.
In February, somebody posted online dozens of nude photos of teen girls, listing some of them by name and identifying them as Cypress Bay High School students in Weston. The Broward Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the case as possible child pornography.
In Steubenville, Ohio, a jury convicted two teens of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl during a series of drunken parties - acts captured and share through text message photos and videos.
