Prospective homebuyers in Aventura are being granted a unique opportunity to live on one of the last undeveloped private islands in Southeast Florida, says a spokesperson for the developer.
Set to break ground in the first half of 2013, The Village at Island Estates will offer 148 high-end condominium residences, built on an eight-acre privately owned island in the heart of Aventura Bay in the Intracoastal Waterway, says the spokesperson.
Comprised of two eight-story buildings, the Mediterranean-style, guard-gated development will feature luxury amenities and services including a promenade around the island, open natural areas, two tennis courts and a basketball court, a putting green, a health spa and gym, an expansive pool deck with an outdoor café, an expansive social room with a fireplace and full kitchen, a private beach and a private deep-water marina and slips (limited in availability).
Prices for the two- to five-bedroom residences, with media room and den, start at $1 million and will all be delivered decorator ready with appliances by Sub-Zero, Wolf and Miele, cabinetry by Snaidero, faucets by Hansgrohe and fixtures by Toto.

The architectural firm Sieger Suarez Architectural Partnership of Miami has been selected for the concept and design development of The Village at Island Estates. Affiniti Architects of Boca Raton collaborated in the concept.
Interiors by Steven G. will design the community’s lobbies and common areas and will also be available to work directly for interested residents, says the spokesperson.
