Real Housewives of Miami Alexia Echevarria’s son accused of punching homeless man

Miami Beach police say they have enough evidence to arrest the son of a Real Housewives of Miami star after he filmed himself punching a homeless man in the groin and then posted the video on his Facebook page.

Police are looking for Peter Rosello, a model and the son of self-proclaimed “Cuban Barbie” Alexia Echevarria, and have probable cause for his arrest, said Police Chief Raymond Martinez.

“We did locate the homeless guy today,” Martinez said. “We’re taking a statement.”

Reached Thursday, Echevarria’s husband, former Hialeah council president Herman Echevarria, would only say “it’s unfortunate.”

The video shows Rosello — or someone with a striking resemblance — addressing the camera, saying he will be “punching a hobo in the nuts.”

He then approaches a bearded man lying on a piece of cardboard in doorway.

The apparently homeless man tilts his baseball cap back as the younger man gets closer.

“I was gonna give you five dollars,” Rosello says calmly, before pounding a fist into the man’s crotch and running. A few seconds later, viewers can hear a car engine start.

The YouTube video, entitled Hobo Gets NutChecked!!!!, was posted on Rosello’s Facebook page Tuesday and as of Thursday afternoon was still there.

When someone posted a question on Facebook asking him the point of the video, he apparently responded: “Because it’s funnyyyyyyyy,” and then: “I feel bad for those people. didn’t mean to offend anyone. they got my love, i always give them like 5 bucks or weed.”

Martinez said police learned of the YouTube video when sent a link Wednesday and asked if they were investigating.

Rosello’s Facebook page says he lives in Miami Beach and graduated two years ago from Monsignor Edward Pace High School.

It’s been a rough year for Echevarria, editor of Venue, a society and lifestyle magazine. She took heat last year after referring to people in Hialeah as “lower” on the Real Housewives of Miami. A few months later, her teenage son, Frankie Rosello, survived life-threatening injuries suffered in a car crash and is still recovering.

The newest installment of the Bravo Housewives franchise debuted its second season last month. Echevarria has less screen-time this season due to time spent caring for her teen son.
