Lennar’s multi-generational floor plan to be unveiled at Kendall Square grand opening

Today is a very auspicious day for Lennar, says a company official. Not only is it the grand opening of one of Lennar’s newest and more exciting communities to which the public is invited for food and family fun, it also marks a debut of Lennar’s Next Gen – The Home Within a Home floor plan, says the official.

Kendall Square is a master-planned, family-inspired community designed to capture the essence of a bygone era. It will be a combination of a “traditional hometown” of yesteryear and today’s state-of-the-art technology, energy efficiency and “New Urbanism.”

“A lot of people call it ‘the good old days.’ A time that harkens us back to the 1950s or earlier, when master-planned communities offered clusters of neighborhoods with their own little infrastructure where people could walk to a corner store or meander through family parks. Kids would get together and play out front until it was time for dinner and neighbors were friends and waved when they came and went,” explains Carlos Gonzalez, president of Lennar’s Southeast Florida Division. “Times were simpler and people enjoyed a real sense of belonging and community. It’s this kind of traditional-neighborhood mindset with which Kendall Square has been designed. And what better community in which to unveil our amazing new ‘home within a home’ floor plans, designed exclusively for family-inspired, ‘multi-generational’ living.”

“Kendall Square has a wide selection of three- and four-bedroom townhomes and three-, four- or five-bedroom single-family homes from the low $200,000s. These unique floor plans come in a variety of architectural designs unlike any other including French Colonial, Coral Gables and California styles,” says Gonzalez. “Whether you like expansive front porches, lofts or studios, there is sure to be a home for you!”

Lennar’s Next Gen – The Home Within a Home is a whole new concept in living space, designed to comfortably accommodate the homeowners’ parents, children who’ve returned home, or any other dual living arrangement needed, says Gonzalez. The all-inclusive suite can function as a private residence with a state-of-the-art kitchenette, great room, walk-in closet and a separate entrance. At the same time, it can be integrated into the main home’s living space, because the space is versatile, he says.

While Kendall Square is a wonderful neighborhood for any type of homeowner, it is especially appealing to families with younger children. It offers an array of amenities, grand community clubhouse and parks. Families will be able to walk to shops, schools and offices. What’s more, friends and neighbors will be able to bike or stroll along tree-lined streets where special zoning will ensure that the neighborhood is a “calmed traffic zone,” says Gonzalez.

All homes at Kendall Square are Lennar’s famed “Everything’s Included Homes” whereby some of the most popular luxury features and upgrades are included in the price at no extra charge, says Gonzalez. And now, EI Homes include home automation with the Nexia Home Intelligence System with remote/keyless access, temperature and lighting control and real-time security camera. Everything can be controlled from anywhere with a smartphone, tablet or computer with internet access.

Kendall Square is on Kendall Drive and SW 167th Ave., From the Turnpike, exit North Kendall Drive. (SW 88th Street), to west to SW 167th, turn left, community on left. For information call 305-357-6667 or visit Lennar.com/KendallSquare. Realtor participation is welcome.
