The National Weather Service is pegging today's rain chances at 60 percent and say the showers will likely begin this morning and fall all day. The afternoon may even bring a couple strong thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, temperatures will rise into the low 80s this afternoon and fall into the upper 50s tonight.
The skies clear somewhat and the weather cools come Saturday, when rain chances drop to 20 percent and the highs top out in the low 70s.
The cooling trend will continue Saturday night, dropping temperatures into the 40s. Sunday's high temperatures are expected to stick in the 60s.
