A three-vehicle crash on the Seventh Avenue drawbridge in Sailboat Bend Friday afternoon left a car teetering on the edge of the bridge.
Fort Lauderdale Fire-Rescue worked to balance the car and keep it from falling into the water, while also treating three people for injuries, said Fire-Rescue spokesman Matt Little. The cars were removed and the bridge reopened.
The crash happened at about 4:30 p.m.
One man was taken to Broward General Medical Center with serious injuries. Two other people were taken to the same hospital with non-life threatening injuries, officials said.
Authorities have closed the pedestrian walkway on the bridge as a precaution because the crash damaged part of the bridge's railing.
