Alberto Milo Jr. named president of Builders Association of South Florida

Alberto Milo Jr. has been named president of the Builders Association of South Florida (BASF) for 2011. Swearing-in ceremonies for the new president, the executive committee and the board of directors were held recently at the annual BASF Installation Gala at the Grove Isle Hotel & Spa.

Milo serves as president of The Urban Development Group, LLC, which specializes in multi-family urban redevelopment properties. In 2009, he formed RUDG, a joint venture between The Urban Development Group and The Related Group. He was named BASF’s Builder of the Year in 2009 and is a past recipient of the organization’s President’s Award.

A licensed mortgage and real estate broker, Milo serves on the Miami-Dade County Industrial Development Authority and previously was a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Workforce Housing Committee.

The BASF has more than 500 members, and is a local chapter of the Florida Home Builders Association and the National Association of Homebuilders.
