The month of April will go by quickly and the historic home buyer tax credits will be gone. To make sure prospective buyers don’t miss out on the extraordinary savings opportunity, Lennar, one of the nation’s leading home builders, is hosting an open house event at each of its communities across South Florida, a company official says.
This Saturday and Sunday from Miami-Dade to the Treasure Coast, home buyers can visit a Lennar community and enjoy refreshments, tour the decorated models and explore all the immediate brand new move-in available homes that can be purchased by April 30 in time to benefit from the tax credits, says the official.
First-time home buyers may qualify to receive a government tax credit of up to $8,000. Current homeowners may also be able to receive up to a $6,500 tax credit. The tax credits are not loans, there is no repayment required, but prospective buyers have to act now.
Plus, for a limited time only, Lennar gives prospective home buyers even more reasons to buy now with no down payment and no closing costs at select South Florida communities.

“This is the weekend to visit one of our communities and enjoy our open house events,” says Carlos Gonzalez, president of Lennar’s Southeast Florida division. “Lennar New Home Consultants will be available at every community to help answer any questions prospective buyers might have about the tax credits or the home purchasing process. Plus, this is the perfect opportunity to tour our decorated model homes and experience all the amenities that come with a new Lennar home.”
One of Lennar’s premier communities in Miami-Dade is Silver Palms, the largest residential community in the county. The 292-acre beautifully landscaped master-planned community features lakes, sidewalks, street lighting and more than 17,500 trees throughout the community.
An elegant 12,000 square-foot private clubhouse is to be built unlike any other clubhouse in the area. Silver Palms is minutes from Florida’s Turnpike and US-1 and offers residents the convenience of nearby shops, movie theatres, places of worship, schools and hospitals. Lennar’s Silver Palms offers home buyers a selection of breathtaking single-family homes with ample lot sizes, and spacious well designed townhomes at a great value.
The Collection of Townhomes at Silver Palms offers home buyers spectacular two-story, three- or four-bedroom spacious townhomes with one- or two-car garages. The townhomes have large open spaces such as a family room, elegant master bedrooms with coffer ceiling and ample closet areas leading to a luxurious master bath with double vanities, shower and Roman tub. The elevations include designer exterior stone and decorative shutters reminiscent of California-style architecture, which truly make the homes unique. Homes include brick paved driveway, walkway, entry and patio leading to each brand new townhome. All homes include a GE appliance package, ceramic tile in standard areas, and are ready for immediate move-in. The Townhome Collection in Silver Palms range from 1,913 to 2,600 square feet and prices are now from just the upper $100,000s.
Lennar is also set to unveil its new Single-Family Patio Collection of homes within Silver Palms. The new Patio homes have been designed by award-winning architects to provide the home buyer with a very unique and open design between homes. The homes offer the feel of a single-family home at a townhome price. To preview floor plans and elevations home buyers should visit Silver Palm’s Welcome Home Center. Prices for the Patio homes collection begin in the $200,000s.
All Lennar homes come with an array of quality interior features and designer upgrades included in the home purchase price, says Gonzalez.
