Lennar has move-in-ready homes all across South Florida

The clock is ticking and time is quickly coming to a close to take advantage of the government home buyer tax credit opportunities.

New homes must be purchased by April 30, 2010 to qualify for a tax credit. With this date only weeks away, the Southeast Florida Division of Lennar, one of the nation’s leading home builders, is advising prospective buyers to stop waiting on the sidelines and to take action to get into the home of their dreams or miss out on these incredible savings opportunities, says a company spokesperson.

This weekend shoppers can buy a new Lennar home in South Florida and their monthly payments may even be lower than paying rent, says the spokesperson.

Plus, if you haven’t owned a home in the last three years you may qualify to receive a first-time buyer government tax credit of up to $8,000. Current homeowners may even qualify to receive an up to $6,500 tax credit. These tax credits are not loans, but prospective buyers need to act now, as this is one historic opportunity you don’t want to miss.

“Most likely the home buyer tax credit will not be extended again,” says Carlos Gonzalez, president of Lennar’s Southeast Florida division. “This means the time to buy is before April 30 or buyers will miss out on these historic opportunities.”

Lennar is urging prospective home buyers that want to meet the April 30 tax credit deadline to not get caught short with a short sale. Foreclosed and short sale properties can take an unreasonable amount of time to close and may not close in time for you to receive a tax credit.

Currently, Lennar has brand new homes in communities all across the South Florida market that can close in time to qualify for the tax credit savings, says Gonzalez.

Plus, purchasing a brand new home from the home builder provides a new home warranty and an easier mortgage process.

One of Lennar’s premier communities in Miami-Dade is Silver Palms, the largest residential community in the county. This 292-acre beautifully landscaped master-planned community features sparkling blue lakes, sidewalks, street lighting and more than 17,500 trees throughout the community.
