Miami police seek ID of slain woman

Miami police are asking for help in identifying the victim of a homicide Saturday morning.

The body of a black woman in her late 20s was found about 11:30 a.m. Saturday at 1717 NW 22nd St., according Detective William Moreno, a police spokesman.

Police released few details because of "investigative reasons," Moreno said.

The victim had a tattoo of the word "Diva'' near her bikini line, which may help identify her, he said. She was five feet five inches tall and weighed 195 pounds. She was found wearing a shoulder-length dark brown wig, a gray sweat jacket and a black shirt.

Investigators asked anyone with information to call Miami police at 305-603-6350 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
