A man who police say robbed a bank on Brickell on Friday was ordered held without bond Saturday on charges of robbery and use of a deadly weapon.
Court records indicate Jose Zaldivar, 58, was out on bond for two drug-related charges.
Police said Zaldivar walked into the Brickell Avenue branch of City National Bank armed with a handgun, just before noon Friday, and managed to leave the bank with about $6,000, police said.
Police said Zaldivar fled the bank on foot, and avoided police for hours as they set up a perimeter in Brickell. He was tracked down and arrested on Friday night, after a bank employee managed to identify Zaldivar as a bank customer.
