Ducking into the lobby of the Saratoga hotel from the hot and noisy Prado, the air is suddenly cool and serene. With its understated period decor and Art Deco accents, the colonial restoration of the main floor never veers toward the garish. Off to the left, decked out in terra cotta and gold, is a swank tapas bar dominated by a giant olde-tymey copper-and-brass espresso machine.
