Cappellini’s Luce tables, available in the Design District, transfix with their translucent colors

“The most beautiful qualities of a color are in its transparent state,” American painter Maxfield Parrish once said, “with the light shining through the color.” Parrish’s classical canvases radiate with a distinctly saturated look that made his landscapes romantic and otherworldly. No doubt he would have been transfixed by the colors of Cappellini’s new Luce table collection. Simple and striking, the cube design shines from extra-clear stained laminated glass that has enhanced transparency. Available in three sizes (35-by-35, 40-by-40 and 45-by-45 inches), the tables refract light through the cubes, illuminating the spaces around them in a rich, warm glow.

$2,500-$2,800. Luminaire Lab, 3901 Northeast Second Avenue, Miami Design District; 305-576-5788; luminaire.com.
