INDULGE's annual Art Basel issue continues to rack up major journalism awards.

INDULGE has won three first-place and two second-place awards in a statewide journalism contest. The Florida Magazine Association announced winners of its 2018 Charlie Awards at a ceremony Friday night in Orlando. INDULGE was a winner in the following categories:

“Continuing to be recognized by our peers in the publishing industry for our editorial and advertising efforts is incredibly gratifying,” INDULGE Editor in Chief Evan Benn said. “We launched the new exactly one year ago, about the same time we started executing our coverage plan for last year’s Art Basel issue and the same time we began to ramp up our work in advertorials and sponsored content. Our team is thrilled that the Florida Magazine Association acknowledged that we’re on the right track on those fronts and beyond.”

INDULGE’s five wins were an uptick in the magazine’s performance in last year’s Charlie Awards, when it placed in three categories: Photography (first), Column Writing (second) and Social Media (second).

In addition to the Charlie Awards, INDULGE also earned a first-place win this week for Best Color Ad in the Florida Newspaper Advertising and Marketing Executives’ annual Creative Excellence Awards.

Coming off statewide wins from the Florida Magazine Association and the Florida Society of Professional Journalists, INDULGE also is in the running for several national journalism awards. It is a finalist for Best Food Photo in the Association of Food Journalists’ annual contest, and the Art Basel issue is up for Best Full Issue in the 2018 Folio Magazine Eddie and Ozzie Awards. Those awards will be announced in September and October, respectively.
