The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is February 17-19.

It was nothing more than a publicity stunt to promote a theater production when the late-great Charlie Cinnamon accidentally created what would become the Coconut Grove Arts Festival.

That was 1963, and when the event returns February 17-19, it will include pieces by 360 artists, making the festival the largest outdoor arts event anywhere. The works span 13 types of media, and at least a third of artists are new every year.

The Coconut Grove Arts Festival has something for everyone: art, music, food, family entertainment and more.

General admission sets you back just $15, but do it right by springing $75 for VIP, which includes access to a hospitality area, a couple drinks and lite bites. 2700 South Bayshore Drive, Miami; cgaf.com.
