Indulge magazine is a finalist for four national Folio Awards

Judges of the 2017 Folio Awards, a national magazine competition, voted Indulge Miami a finalist in four categories: Editor of the Year, Overall Design, Full Issue and Series of Articles.

Winners and honorable mentions will be announced Oct. 11 at a ceremony in New York. Details on the finalists:

1. Editor of the Year

Indulge Editor in Chief Evan Benn is a finalist for Editor of the Year, an overall editorial category in the Folio Awards. Benn, who has edited Indulge since 2016, was previously Food Editor at the Miami Herald. Indulge won three Florida Magazine Association awards in 2017 under Benn’s leadership, including one recognizing his work on the publication’s social media channels.

Indulge is a finalist for Best Overall Design in the City & Regional magazine division of the Folio Awards, based on a submission of its 2017 Food & Wine issue. Indulge’s design is created by Contributing Design Director John Michael Coto.

Indulge’s 2017 Food & Wine issue is a finalist for Best Full Issue in the City & Regional magazine division of the Folio: Eddie and Ozzie Awards. The issue featured Top Chef winner Jeremy Ford and other Miami culinary all-stars.

4. Best Series of Articles: Staycation

Indulge’s Staycation columns earned a finalist nod for Best Series of Articles in the City & Regional magazine division. The entries, written by Lauren Comander, take readers inside the suites and spas of the best hotels within a drive of Miami. Staycation received second place for column writing in the 2017 Charlie Awards from the Florida Magazine Association.
